After making it big with one popular song, composer Meng Fan (Kenny Kwan) hits a creative block and both his career and love life gradually nosedive. To recover his writing inspiration, he goes off on a trip alone to the remote, picturesque town of Huang Cun. He checks into the “Deserted Inn”, and ends up in a room with a bed that dates back to the Ming Dynasty. There’s no peace and quiet for Meng though as he encounters numerous strange incidences and is plagued by nightmares and the eerie sound of wailing singing. That’s when he learns about the chilling story of his bed’s previous owner, Rouge.
Kenny Kwan stars in this thriller as a music composer whose career is on the rocks and retreats to a deserted town looking for inspiration to write his next hit song. After checking into a local inn, he begins to have nightmares that push him to the brink of insanity until he unveils the dark secret of the innkeeper.
