This film is actually two one hour stories, the first based on a Stephen King story called the “Chattering Teeth” about a man who picks up a hitchhiker and the second is based on a Clive Barker story called “The Body Politic” about hands that rebel against the body.
Christopher Lloyd plays a creepy story collector who helps tie together two stories, based on the work of Clive Barker and Stephen King. The first story is told to a pick-pocket at a carnival about a plastic surgeon whose hands have a mind of their own and rebel against him. The second story is told to a woman whose car breaks down at the side of the road. It is about a businessman who buys a pair of novelty, metal, chattering dentures at a roadside gas station. The teeth eventually come to life, saving him from a hostile hitchhiker. Both stories are very ridiculous and Christopher Lloyd is very miscast as a “creepy” Gothic-looking character. The second story in the movie is the better one, but I don’t see how two inch tall dentures could drag a full grown man as far as they did.
