The short film will be based on a character who was briefly seen when WALL-E and EVE fly around the Axiom starliner, and enter through a door, locking a welder robot outside of the ship. This character is a robot named BURN-E, who is seen banging his fists against the door, and ultimately realizing that he has been locked out.
If BURN-E (a repair unit) had known how much trouble he’ll be in because of WALL-E (the last cleaning robot from Earth), who is pursuing EVE (a robot sent to investigate if the situation on Earth has changed since the human kind left it), then he’d taken the day off.
