Acclaimed actors John Shea and Eli Wallach star in this BBC production that recounts the true tale of Eli Cohen (Shea), an Israeli citizen recruited to spy on Syria in the 1960s. After moving to Syria, posing as a wealthy textile merchant and befriending a high-ranking official, Cohen gains access to the highest echelons of the rising Ba’th party. Things go well until Cohen learns of an impending kibbutz attack and rushes a warning to Israel.
