“Smitten Kitten” is mostly two things: an “economical” cartoon and a cartoon about love. If it’s great or not, depends on how people see these cartoon. As for me, it is okay. If not taken too seriously, it can be enjoyable.
This one is about Tom falling in love with a female cat that looks like Toodles. Jerry looks at them, so disgusted that he is ready to puke. But a green little devil appears and gives Jerry advices to break up with Tom’s passion, reminding Jerry about how every time Tom falls in love that means problems for him. The devil reminds a few stories which bring bad memories for Jerry and, after telling everything, asks him if he can take that again. The ending is funny: Jerry doesn’t get his revenge for Tom, falling in love instead. The devil himself, at first frustrated, falls in love either.
