The Dog House (1952)

“The Dog House” is one of the best Tom & Jerry’s cartoons with Spike, the familiar bulldog in these series. It’s a simple and predictable cartoon. The artwork is okay. So is the story, which is very unfair for Spike.
Here, all Spike wants to do is to build his own dog house, something he always dreamed of. Foolish Tom is chasing Jerry as usual and the rest is predictable… yes, Tom destroys the dog house. As usual, Spike tells him a few words and threats him. But it’s no use. Jerry makes sure those threats happen and the foolish cat just doesn’t learn. His intelligence does not allow him to understand something so simple. So, he keeps chasing Jerry over and over and whenever he does it, he destroys the dog house whenever Spike is building one. Poor Spike can’t even enjoy the moment he had long been waiting for…
