The Winning Season (2009)

A comedy centered on a has-been coach who supposedly shot at redemption when he's asked to run the basketball team of local high school girls.
The basic elements of a familiar story; down in the coach found a second chance with a bunch of scrubs and you know the rest. Groundbreakingly win season is not different from its ancestors, but just enough in all the right places to do this "dramedy" a view very useful. Audiences familiar with the typical fare for independence, will see that The Winning Season is actually cut from a mold indie. Win season is not over the failure of coaches, or abusiveness of his his real face steep obstacles. This is a good thing, however, because they can see the dark nature of man makes success all that much more enjoyable. Winning season's strength is in the balance and eventually his manager / decision to allow the writer of humor and healing to the film dynamics occur. Indie films too often allow their subjects to depression runs rampant in what appears to be an effort to increase antidepressant sales. There are many folks who think any movie labeled as a "dramedy" to be fluff or the box office disguising itself as an independent film, but I would pray for each other. There is always room for practice and laughter to coexist in a single vision of independence, and in the final film was allowed to make the viewer feel rewarded. Winning season aim to do that, and it pretty much hit the mark.
