Paul Racine (Christopher Lambert) is one of his many business trips to Tokyo, as a computer-chip executive from New York, when he meets a beautiful woman named mystery Kirina (Joan Chen) , and have a one night stand with her.
Soon after, ruthless killer Kinjo (John Lone), the leader of a ninja cult, decapitates Kirina after he told her that she was the first to see his face.
Paul, who left his keys behind in the room Kirina, returned to the room and witnesses the murder. And because Paul has become the second person to see Kinjo's face, Paul's life is in danger.
Once hooked up with a modern samurai named Takeda (Yoshio Harada), who have scores to settle with Kinjo, Paul learned swordsmanship, and perhaps, a little bit about courage, honor, love love and loyalty.
